All you need is:
- 30 grams of ginger
- a knife
- (optional) a potato peeler
- a tea strainer of your choice
- water and a cup
The recipe is for one cup of tea.
Gently remove the ginger peel with the potato peeler. That’s how I do it. If you don’t have potato peeler you can use the knife to scrape it.
Cut the ginger into small pieces and put it in the tea strainer.
Pour boiling water into the cup with the tea strainer full with ginger inside it.
Leave it for 15 minutes and you have a perfect cup of ginger tea.
I drink it with Stevia as a sweetener but you can use honey or sugar depending on your preferences. Lemon also goes well with the tea.
The tea is known to be quite beneficial when there are first symptoms of cold/flu.
It could help you lose weight if you aim that since it suppresses the appetite to some extend.
Note that the tea is quite a refreshing beverage, so it’s good to be avoided late at evenings.
